Dominic Fritz, the leader of USR, emphasized the necessity of quickly organizing elections for the Capital City Hall, invoking the law that stipulates a 90-day period from the vacancy of the position. Criticizing PSD for conditioning the elections on negotiations for joint candidacies, Fritz stated that the rules of democracy must be respected. He rejected the idea of unique candidacies and mentioned that the government must act according to the law, without political influences. Additionally, Fritz expressed confidence in the continuation of the pro-European coalition, even in the context of scandals.
