The information provided on the Informat.ro website and the Informat.ro application is in Romanian, without excluding its presentation in other languages as well.
By accessing and/or using the Informat.ro website and the Informat.ro application, the User agrees to these Terms and Conditions and undertakes to comply with them.

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between STRATEGIC MEDIA TEAM S.R.L., a Romanian legal entity, with its registered office in Bucharest, 71 Buzești Street, 3rd Floor, District 1, registered with the Trade Register under no. J2021011526408, unique registration code 44538282, and the persons who access our services provided through the Informat.ro website and the Informat.ro application.

1. General Provisions

STRATEGIC MEDIA TEAM S.R.L. reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions and any related information at any time by publishing the amended terms on the website and/or the application, without prior notice.

However, STRATEGIC MEDIA TEAM S.R.L. does not undertake to keep the website and/or the application up to date.

STRATEGIC MEDIA TEAM S.R.L. shall not be liable to users or to any other person if errors occur in the information on the Informat.ro website and/or the Informat.ro application or if such information is not up to date.

Informat.ro is an online platform that processes articles and online news sourced from third-party partners.

Informat.ro is not a party to any contractual agreement concluded between the user and a third-party partner in the online environment, but merely facilitates the connection between the two parties.

2. Definitions

“Application” means the Informat.ro application.

“Account” means the account associated with your email address, Apple ID, or Google ID and includes the following services: selecting and displaying favorite sections, language and translation options, and obtaining a paid subscription.

“We”, “our” or “the company” means STRATEGIC MEDIA TEAM S.R.L., a Romanian legal entity, with its registered office in Bucharest, 71 Buzești Street, 3rd Floor, District 1, registered with the Trade Register under no. J2021011526408, unique registration code 44538282.

“Intellectual Property Rights” means any and all intellectual property rights existing nationally and/or internationally and the subject matter of such rights, including:
(a) patents, copyrights, registered designs, registered and unregistered trademarks, and any right to maintain the confidentiality of confidential information; and
(b) any application or right to apply for registration of any of the rights mentioned under (a), whether or not such rights are registered or registrable and whether they exist under any law, common law, or equity.

“Informat.ro Services” means all services provided by us to you.

“Website” means the website available at https://www.informat.ro

“User” means a person who visits or uses the website and the application.

“Informat.ro” means the Informat.ro website and the Informat.ro application.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

The content of the Informat.ro platform, including but not limited to graphic elements, names, and trademarks, is the property of Informat.ro and may not be reproduced and/or used without the prior written consent of the owner.

By accessing the website and/or the application, the User agrees that any name, logo, trademark, text, document, and media file presented on the website is owned by Informat.ro or third parties and may only be used by the User for informational purposes.

Informat.ro will take all legal measures if intellectual property rights and copyrights are infringed.

If Informat.ro grants a User the right to use the content of the website and/or the application in a certain manner, the User shall use it only for the defined purpose and for the period specified in the agreement concluded with Informat.ro.

Any unauthorized copying of the website and/or the application is prohibited and will result in liability for the User who violates this clause.

Informat.ro retransmits information provided by national and international news websites, allowing users access to the original content.

Informat.ro contains the pages of news sources as delivered by the respective publications, without attaching its own content. Ownership and responsibility for such content belong to the publications that produced it. Users may view third-party content within the Informat.ro platform or access it via their device’s browser.

4. Purpose

Before using the website and the application, you must read the entire content of these Terms and Conditions, the website and application policies, and all related information.

You must read and accept all clauses of these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and all policies of the Informat.ro platform.

By accessing and using the website and/or the application, you accept these Terms and Conditions and agree that they will apply whenever you use the website and/or the application.

5. Accessing the Platform

Using the https://www.informat.ro website does not require creating a user account.

The Informat.ro application may be used with or without a user account.

Creating a user account in the Informat.ro application is free of charge.

To create a user account using email, the following information must be provided: email address, first and last name, and a password must be set. The use of this data is carried out in accordance with the personal data processing policy.

To activate the account, the user must enter the code sent by us to the email address provided during account creation. The code is valid for 1 day. If the user does not confirm account creation within the given period, the account will be deleted together with all data provided during its creation.

Informat.ro accounts are personal. Login credentials must not be shared with other persons.

Users may also associate a Google account or Apple ID to register in the application.

The Informat.ro application does not use any user profiling algorithms. Articles and news are suggested only based on the user’s selections made at account creation and not based on previously accessed content.

The person associated with the account is responsible for all actions performed on that account, without limitation. The account holder is responsible for all actions carried out by another person using their account.

You may not use the application with a user account if:
i. your right to use the website and application is suspended; or
ii. you do not have a valid email address.

You may not transfer or assign any rights or obligations under this agreement without our prior written consent.

We reserve the right to close, suspend, or limit access to your account, the website, the application, and/or the Informat.ro services if we cannot satisfactorily obtain or verify the information requested under this section.

6. Subscription

You may access news in Romanian, Hungarian, and Russian free of charge.

For news presented in foreign languages other than Romanian, only a limited number of articles may be accessed free of charge.

After reaching the free limit, a paywall system will be displayed informing you about the subscription service required to continue using these services. After exceeding the maximum number of accesses to foreign-language or translated news, you may continue accessing similar content only through the mobile applications based on a monthly subscription.

The subscription price is the one displayed on Apple Pay and Google Pay platforms and is set and may be modified unilaterally by them, without Informat.ro having any control or decision-making power. The subscription includes: ad-free content viewing, access to foreign-language or translated news, and receiving the e-mail digest in foreign languages.

The free version includes unlimited access to Romanian-language news and services with advertisements, with or without an account.

Subscription fees may be paid via Apple Pay or Google Pay, depending on the device used, with a recurring payment option.

If a monthly subscription payment fails, you will automatically be switched to the free version of the service.

You may cancel the subscription at any time, and refunds for unused amounts are handled in accordance with Apple Pay or Google Pay provisions.

The subscription cannot be transferred between users.

You may log into the subscription-associated account from an unlimited number of personal devices, provided the same Apple or Google account is used.

7. E-mail Digest

The E-mail Digest is a newsletter service provided through the Brevo platform.

When creating a new account, you may opt in to the newsletter by checking the box “I agree to receive communications by e-mail.”

Unsubscribing can be done at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” button located at the bottom of each newsletter sent by Informat.ro. You will be redirected to a confirmation page where you may finalize the process or close the page if you do not wish to continue.

Through the E-mail Digest service, you will receive a selection of the most important news from a specific period.

The newsletter frequency is determined exclusively by Informat.ro and may be daily, every two days, weekly, biweekly, or monthly, without limitation.

For free accounts, the newsletter is sent in Romanian, Russian, or Hungarian, regardless of the interface language selected by the user.

For paid subscription accounts, the newsletter is sent in the language chosen by the user.

8. Rules for Using the Platform

While using Informat.ro, you must not:
i. violate laws, third-party rights, or our policies;
ii. transfer your Informat.ro account to another party without our consent;
iii. distribute viruses or other technologies that may harm the website and/or application;
iv. attempt to modify, translate, adapt, edit, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any software used in connection with the website;
v. copy, modify, or distribute content or intellectual property belonging to Informat.ro or third-party partners;
vi. collect or otherwise gather user information, including email addresses, without consent.

9. Articles and News Published on the Platform

We do not claim ownership over content delivered by third-party publications on the website and/or application.

We provide access to third-party partner content containing original articles and opinions.

We act solely as a portal and bear no liability in connection with third-party content, regardless of whether it is defamatory, libelous, or obscene.

Informat.ro contains links to third-party websites which we do not control.

The Informat.ro application includes an experimental advanced search function using artificial intelligence. This function searches only articles previously published on the Informat.ro platform. Although AI attempts to provide relevant and accurate results, Strategic Media Team S.R.L. does not guarantee full accuracy or correctness. Source articles used by AI are displayed below the generated response. Users are encouraged to verify information using multiple sources.

We do not endorse the content, products, services, practices, policies, or performance of third-party websites linked through Informat.ro.

Use of third-party content and links is at your own risk and subject to their policies.

10. Advertising on the Platform

We may display advertisements or promotions on Informat.ro.

You acknowledge and agree that we are not liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of such advertisements or promotions.

You also acknowledge that advertisement content may be protected by copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights.

11. Termination, Suspension, and Limitation of Access. Abusive Use

Informat.ro reserves the exclusive right to suspend, limit, or close user accounts and/or access to its services, partially or fully, temporarily or permanently, and to remove content or take any technical or legal measures deemed necessary, without justification, prior notice, or compensation.

Such measures may be taken, in particular, if:
i. you violate these Terms and Conditions or our policies;
ii. you use Informat.ro services for illegitimate, fraudulent, illegal, or abusive purposes;
iii. you are involved in fraudulent or illegal activities;
iv. you fail to respond to verification requests or provide accurate information;
v. you infringe intellectual property rights;
vi. you act contrary to the letter or spirit of these Terms;
vii. you are subject to sanctions imposed by national or international authorities;
viii. other legitimate reasons justify protecting the platform, users, or Informat.ro’s interests.

In such cases, users may not raise any claims against Informat.ro.

12. Account Closure

You may close your account at any time via account settings.

We may retain certain personal information to meet regulatory requirements and obligations. Account closure does not necessarily mean deletion of all stored information.

13. No Guarantee of User Identity

We cannot and do not confirm the claimed identity of each user. Information about users may be provided only in legally regulated cases and is based solely on user-provided data. Such disclosure does not constitute endorsement or recommendation.

14. No Guarantee of Article and News Content

Informat.ro is a dynamic platform and information changes frequently.

We make no warranties regarding:
i. accuracy, reliability, availability, or timeliness;
ii. uninterrupted or error-free operation;
iii. correction of defects;
iv. data saving or business continuity;
v. absence of errors, malicious code, or security vulnerabilities.

15. Notifications and Communication

Legal notices will be sent to the email address provided during registration.
Users may send notifications or communications to Informat.ro via email.

16. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Romanian law.
Any disputes shall be settled amicably, failing which they will be resolved by Romanian courts.

17. Non-Waiver and Survival

Failure to act upon a breach does not constitute a waiver of rights.
If any provision is deemed unenforceable, it shall be limited to the minimum extent necessary.
We may assign our rights and obligations under this document at any time.

18. Security

You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized access or security breach and take all possible steps to mitigate its effects.

Your account belongs exclusively to you. You must not share your password and are solely responsible for its security. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access due to inadequate password protection
