The information provided on the Informat.ro website and within the Informat.ro application is in Romanian, without excluding the possibility of presenting it in other languages as well.

By accessing and/or using the Informat.ro website and the Informat.ro application, the User agrees to these Terms and Conditions and undertakes to comply with them.

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between STRATEGIC MEDIA TEAM S.R.L., a Romanian legal entity with registered office in Bucharest, 71 Buzesti Street, 3rd Floor, District 1, registered with the Trade Register under no. J40/11526/2021, VAT ID 44538282, and individuals who access our services through the Informat.ro website and application.

1. General Provisions

STRATEGIC MEDIA TEAM S.R.L. reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and any related information by publishing the modified terms on the website and/or application, without prior notice.

However, STRATEGIC MEDIA TEAM S.R.L. does not commit to keeping the website and/or application up to date.

STRATEGIC MEDIA TEAM S.R.L. is not liable to users or any third party for any errors or outdated information displayed on the Informat.ro website or application.

Informat.ro is an online platform that processes articles and news collected from third-party partners.

Informat.ro is not a party to any contractual agreement between the user and the third party online partner; it only facilitates the connection between the two.

2. Definitions

• “Application” means the Informat.ro application.

• “Account” means the account associated with your email address, Apple ID, or Google ID.

• “We”, “our”, or “the company” refers to STRATEGIC MEDIA TEAM S.R.L., a Romanian legal entity headquartered in Bucharest, 71 Buzesti Street, 3rd Floor, District 1, registered with the Trade Register under no. J40/11526/2021, VAT ID 44538282.

• “Intellectual Property Rights” refers to any and all intellectual property rights existing nationally and/or internationally, including: (a) patents, copyrights, registered and unregistered designs, trademarks, and any right to maintain confidentiality of confidential information; and (b) any application or right to apply for the registration of any of the rights mentioned in (a), whether registered or not, or whether they exist under any statute, common law, or equity.

• “Informat.ro Services” means all services provided by us to you.

• “Website” refers to the website available at https://www.informat.ro.

• “User” means a person who visits or uses the website and/or application.

• “Informat.ro” means both the Informat.ro website and application.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

The content of the Informat.ro platform, including but not limited to logos, names, and trademarks, is the property of Informat.ro and may not be used or reproduced without prior written permission.

By accessing the website and/or application, the User agrees that any name, logo, trademark, texts, documents, and media files presented on the site are owned by Informat.ro or third parties and may be used by the User only for informational purposes.

Informat.ro will take legal action if intellectual property rights or copyrights are infringed.

If Informat.ro grants a User the right to use certain content, it must be used only for the purpose defined in the agreement and for the agreed duration.

Unauthorized copying of the website and/or application is prohibited and will result in liability.

Informat.ro retransmits information from national and international news sources, allowing users access to original content.

The platform displays pages from original sources as delivered by the publishers, without the ability to add original content. Ownership and responsibility for this content belong to the source publications. Users can view or open this content within the Informat.ro platform or via their browser.

4. Purpose

Before using the website or application, you must read the full content of these Terms and Conditions, including all related policies.

You must read and accept all clauses of these Terms and Conditions, as well as those in the Privacy Policy and any additional platform policies.

By accessing and using the website and/or application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions every time you use the services.

5. Access to the Platform

You do not need to create a user account to use the https://www.informat.ro website.

The Informat.ro application can be used with or without a user account.

Creating a user account within the application is free.

To create an account via email, the following information must be provided: email address, first and last name, and a password. These data are processed according to the Personal Data Processing Policy.

To activate the account, the user must enter the code sent to their email address. The code is valid for 24 hours. If the account is not confirmed within this time, the account and its data are deleted.

Informat.ro accounts are personal. Login credentials must not be shared with others.

Users may also link their Google or Apple ID to register.

The application does not use any user profiling algorithms. Article and news suggestions are based solely on the preferences selected during registration, not on browsing history.

The account holder is fully responsible for all actions taken via the account.

You may not use the application with an account if:

• your right to use the platform has been suspended; or

• you do not have a valid email address.

You may not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.

We reserve the right to close, suspend, or limit your access to your account, the website, the application, and/or the Informat.ro services if we cannot verify your information satisfactorily.

6. Rules for Using the Platform

While using Informat.ro, you must not:

• violate any laws, third-party rights, or our policies;

• transfer your Informat.ro account to another party without our consent;

• distribute viruses or other technologies that may harm the Informat.ro website and/or application;

• attempt to modify, translate, adapt, edit, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any software used by us in connection with the website;

• copy, modify, or distribute content or rights from the website, including copyrights and trademarks owned by Informat.ro or any third-party partners;

• collect or harvest information about users, including email addresses, without their consent.

7. Articles and News Published on the Platform

We do not claim ownership of the content delivered by third-party publishers on the website or application.

We provide access to original content and opinions from our third-party partners.

We act solely as a portal and are not liable for any third-party content published on the website or application, regardless of whether such content may be defamatory, slanderous, or obscene.

Informat.ro contains links to third-party websites. We do not control the content of these linked websites.

The Informat.ro application includes an experimental advanced search feature that uses artificial intelligence. This functionality allows searches only within previously published articles on the Informat.ro platform. Although the AI attempts to provide the most accurate and relevant results, STRATEGIC MEDIA TEAM S.R.L. does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the search results. The original news sources used by the AI to generate the response are displayed beneath the AI-generated answer. Users are encouraged to verify and cross-reference information from multiple sources before relying on it.

We do not endorse the content, products, services, practices, policies, or performance of the websites linked via Informat.ro.

Use of third-party content or access to third-party websites is at your own risk and subject to their respective policies.

8. Advertising on the Platform

Advertisements or promotions may be displayed on Informat.ro.

You acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for any loss or damage you may suffer due to the presence of such advertisements or promotions.

Additionally, you acknowledge and agree that the content of any advertisement or promotion may be protected by copyright, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual or proprietary rights.

9. Account Termination and Suspension

We may close, suspend, or limit your access to your account at any time, without providing a reason. Without limitation, we may take such actions if:

• we determine that you have violated or are acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions;

• we determine that you are engaged in or have engaged in fraudulent or illegal activities;

• you fail to respond to account verification requests;

• you are subject to sanctions imposed by national or international bodies or other applicable sanction regimes;

• or for any other reason.

If we close your account, you will have no claim against us in relation to such closure or suspension.

10. Account Closure

You may close your account at any time.

The account closure option is available in your account settings.

We may retain some of your personal data to comply with regulatory requirements and our external obligations. Closing your account does not necessarily mean all of your data will be deleted or erased.

11. No Guarantee of User Identity

We cannot and do not confirm the purported identity of each user on the website. We may provide information about a User only in cases governed by national or international regulations. Such information is based solely on the data provided by the user. The provision of such information does not constitute an endorsement, verification, or recommendation by us.

12. No Guarantee of Article and News Content

Informat.ro is a dynamic platform. As such, information on Informat.ro may change frequently.

Without limitation, we make no representations or warranties regarding:

• the accuracy, reliability, availability, truthfulness, timeliness, or content of Informat.ro or its services;

• whether Informat.ro or its services will be updated, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;

• whether defects in Informat.ro will be corrected;

• whether Informat.ro, its services, data, content, or materials will be saved, or whether there are continuity arrangements in place for data or services;

• whether Informat.ro or the infrastructure it relies on is error-free, free of malicious code, secure, confidential, or meets a particular standard or function.

13. Notifications and Communication Between Parties

Legal notices will be sent to the email address you provided during registration on Informat.ro.

Users may send notices or communications to us at the Informat.ro email address.

14. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Romanian law.

If a dispute arises between Informat.ro and a user, we will first attempt to resolve it amicably. If this is not possible, the dispute will be submitted to the competent Romanian courts.

15. No Waiver of Rights and Survival of Terms

Our failure to act in relation to a breach by you or others does not waive our right to act in relation to that breach or any subsequent or similar breaches.

Nothing in this section limits your liability.

If any part of this document is deemed unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary to allow the rest of the document to remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any part of this document does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it later. We may assign any of our rights and obligations under this agreement at any time.

16. Security

You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized access or security breach involving Informat.ro, your account, or the services. You must take all reasonable steps to mitigate the effects (including preserving evidence and notifying the appropriate authorities).

Your account is personal and must not be shared. You are solely responsible for keeping your password secure. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to secure your password.

17. Misuse of the Platform

Informat.ro reserves the right to limit, suspend, or terminate your access to our services or user accounts, remove content, and take any technical or legal measures.

Without limitation, such actions may be taken in cases including, but not limited to:

• using our services for illegitimate or bad-faith purposes;

• infringing third-party intellectual property rights;

• acting contrary to the letter or spirit of our policies;

• any attempt to use the platform or services for prohibited purposes.
