Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is facing intense pressure from the Trump administration to accept a peace agreement that would involve territorial concessions to Russia. Trump's emissaries have informed Zelensky that he has a few days to respond to the proposal, which offers nothing in return for Ukraine, only unfounded promises from Russia. Zelensky has communicated to European leaders that he needs time for consultations, fearing a fracture of Western unity. In a press conference, he mentioned that the Americans are looking for a compromise, while he was meeting with E3 leaders to discuss the urgency of the situation. Zelensky also stated that work is actively being done on the details of the peace agreement, which has been revised to become more favorable to Ukraine. Meanwhile, Russia is intensifying attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, and its forces are advancing with difficulty in southeastern Ukraine.
