Ukrainian forces have managed to recapture approximately 13 square kilometers of the city of Pokrovsk. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrski stated that the defense of the city continues and that the number of Ukrainian troops will be increased, in the context of Russia intensifying military pressure, deploying over 155,000 soldiers and using a significant proportion of KAB guided bombs. Syrski stated that maintaining defense lines 5-7 kilometers outside the city was no longer effective, and the supply of the neighboring city of Mernograd has become more difficult. He also dismissed Russian claims regarding the capture of Pokrovsk, emphasizing that the city is not encircled. Additionally, Syrski accused Russia of disinformation to create confusion among Ukrainian troops.
