On Thursday, Russia threatened Ukraine with new "massive strikes" on military installations, following a large-scale Ukrainian attack on the Moscow region, which specifically targeted the oil refinery in Kapotnia. The head of Russian diplomacy, Sergey Lavrov, stated that the Russian armed forces would continue to carry out attacks on targets that affect the combat capability of the Ukrainian armed forces. The Ukrainian attack, considered the most significant since the beginning of the invasion, caused fires and left columns of smoke over the Russian capital. Russian authorities attempted to downplay the scale of the incident, and citizens complained about the lack of warnings in the face of air threats. Additionally, blogger Maksim Kalashnikov was summoned by the police for broadcasting footage of the attacks. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the downing of nearly 1,000 Ukrainian drones in the last 24 hours, a figure unconfirmed by Kiev.
