Ukraine carried out a drone attack on Saturday in the Tyumen region of Siberia, about 2,000 kilometers from the border with Russia.
The regional governor, Alexander Moor, announced that the attack on the refinery was repelled and that there were no casualties, with all employees being evacuated as a precautionary measure. Russian authorities reported the downing of 57 Ukrainian drones on the same day, after another 287 were destroyed the night before.
Refineries are frequent targets of Ukrainian attacks, and President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia is preparing a massive attack on Ukraine in retaliation for recent attacks. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed Russia's intention to carry out combined attacks on Ukrainian military targets. Zelensky urged citizens to be attentive to air raid sirens, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.
