The transaction, with a total value of 8.3 billion dollars and initially announced in July last year, represents a major change in the supply chain of the aerospace industry. Spirit AeroSystems, facing financial difficulties and responsible for delays in the Boeing 737 MAX and Airbus A350 programs, will partially come under Boeing's control, which will thus be able to improve the management of production quality. Approximately 15,000 Spirit employees will be taken over by Boeing, which could influence existing labor relations. Meanwhile, Airbus has taken over certain Spirit operations, and regulatory authorities have approved the transaction, imposing conditions aimed at maintaining competition in the market.
