Boeing announced Tuesday a net loss of 428 million dollars in the second quarter, smaller than the loss of 612 million dollars in the same period last year.

This loss was influenced by additional expenses of 280 million dollars for the presidential aircraft program, called VC-25B, which will deliver two planes by 2029. Although analysts expected a net profit, Boeing managed to increase its revenue by 8%, reaching 24.56 billion dollars.

The company delivered 314 aircraft in the first half of the year, the best result in the last six years, and recorded 246 net orders in this quarter, having a record order portfolio of over 6,200 aircraft. CEO Kelly Ortberg highlighted the company's progress, despite the losses, mentioning a positive trajectory and optimistic outlook for the future.
