SpaceX, Elon Musk's company, has published its first profit report, which revealed a nearly 9% drop in shares after trading hours. Although quarterly revenues increased to $7.8 billion, expenses skyrocketed to $18.3 billion, more than six times higher than last year, with most allocated to artificial intelligence. SpaceX recorded a net loss of $143 million in the last three months and a total loss of $2 billion in the first half of the year.
However, the Starlink division generated profit, bringing in $1.6 billion in the second quarter. Musk anticipated exponential growth for Starlink and stated that SpaceX could reach revenues of $1 trillion by 2030. Capital expenditures will remain at a similar level for the rest of the year, according to statements from company officials.
