The Tate brothers are expected to appear before a federal magistrate in Miami on Monday, after being arrested on Saturday.
The two are in federal custody following their arrest on Saturday, and a U.S. district judge will review in the coming weeks whether they meet the conditions for extradition.
The brothers' attorney, Joseph McBride, criticized the recent charges, calling them 'garbage and slander,' and expressed confidence that the extradition request will be denied. The new charges, which involve four additional victims, were filed after British authorities received evidence from Bedfordshire Police, including rape, assault, human trafficking, and pornography-related offenses. The Tate brothers are already facing previous charges of rape and human trafficking related to three other victims in the UK. They, with dual American and British citizenship, moved to Romania in 2016 and were arrested there in 2022, but have denied all charges. Their case has generated international controversy, and last year they were released and moved to Florida.
