Bros Andrew and Tristan Tate, arrested on July 18 in Miami, will request bail, while British authorities are trying to obtain their extradition to be tried in cases involving charges of rape, assault, and human trafficking for sexual exploitation. The two, who deny all allegations, are in custody in a federal prison in Miami, where a judge is reviewing the extradition request made by the United Kingdom.

American prosecutors argue that there is a flight risk and that the brothers pose a danger to the community, while the defense claims that they have appeared at all hearings in Romania and do not intend to evade justice.

The bail request will be submitted by August 5, and the court will review it on August 13. Meanwhile, the extradition procedure could take several months, with the United Kingdom having until September 16 to send the complete documentation to the U.S. Department of State. The American court will decide if there is enough evidence to continue the procedure.

The final decision regarding extradition will rest with the American authorities.
