On the weekend, an impressive robbery took place at a bank in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, causing an estimated loss of 30 million euros. The thieves broke in and stole over 3,000 safety deposit boxes, which contained money, jewelry, and gold, each insured on average for 10,000 euros. The bank was closed on Tuesday for security reasons, and concerned customers gathered in front of the branch, threatening the employees. The method of the robbery was surprising, with the thieves using a large drill to force a hole into the safety deposit box room. Investigators noted that the robbery was carried out with professionalism, similar to scenes from the movie "Ocean's Eleven." The identity of the perpetrators and the exact timing of the robbery remain unknown, but witnesses reported seeing men carrying large bags on the night from Saturday to Sunday. An Audi car, with stolen license plates, was seen leaving the area in the early hours of Monday. The robbery was discovered on Monday, following a fire alarm. Investigators continue to investigate the case.
