A powerful fire broke out in a warehouse in Louvres, located north of Paris, near Charles de Gaulle Airport. Approximately 80 firefighters and 38 fire engines were mobilized to extinguish the fire, and 30 gendarmes were also deployed to the area. The fire engulfed a storage space used by travelers, where dozens of vehicles were parked, and the smoke column was visible from a distance, including from Paris. Local authorities issued warnings for residents in nearby areas, advising them to stay indoors and close their windows. Although two runways at the airport were closed, air traffic was not significantly affected in the early hours. The incident also caused disruptions in ground transportation, with the closure of a suburban train station and the diversion of several bus routes. Authorities continue to intervene to extinguish the fire and monitor air quality in the area, in the context of high temperatures and heatwaves affecting France.
