Two people were killed, and approximately 28 were injured following a Russian missile attack on the city of Kharkiv, according to Ukrainian officials. The attack nearly completely destroyed an apartment block, and among the victims is a woman and a child, possibly mother and son. President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack, emphasizing that the Russians continue to kill despite international peace efforts. Of those injured, 16 were hospitalized, including a six-month-old baby. A search and rescue operation is underway, involving over 80 volunteers. The Russian Ministry of Defense denied responsibility, suggesting that the explosion may have been caused by Ukrainian ammunition. The attack comes ahead of important discussions in Kyiv, which will involve representatives from 15 countries, the European Union, and NATO, with a U.S. delegation participating via videoconference.
