On the morning of July 30, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, firing dozens of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as hundreds of drones, resulting in eight deaths, including two children, and at least 45 injured in cities such as Kyiv, Lviv, Kryvyi Rih, and Poltava.
President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the need for protection against Russian missile threats, calling for assistance from international partners.
Explosions were reported in several regions, including Kyiv, where two waves of attacks occurred. The Ukrainian Air Force intercepted over 50 missiles and more than 200 drones.
Following the attack, Poland scrambled fighter jets to protect its airspace. Zelensky warned a day before the attack that Russia was preparing a major offensive, and thousands of people took shelter in the metro stations of Kyiv. Additionally, Ukraine continues to launch drones at Russian infrastructure while preparing a new round of peace proposals with the United States.
