Russia launched a massive drone attack on Kyiv / At least two people were killed and 22 were injured

Kyiv was targeted on Wednesday morning, September 23, by a massive Russian drone attack, a few hours after a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his American counterpart Donald Trump. At least two people were killed and 22 were injured, according to local authorities.

Several explosions were heard in the capital, and smoke rose above the city center. The drones hit railway infrastructure, warehouses, non-residential buildings, and at least two gas stations. A nine-story building and a business center were also affected. An employee of the Ukrainian railway company was injured.

The attack is considered one of the most powerful against Kyiv this summer. The European Union ambassador to Ukraine announced that buildings near the EU Delegation had been engulfed in flames.

The day before, Zelenskyy had discussed with Trump a possible ceasefire regarding attacks on energy infrastructure and increasing deliveries of Patriot missiles.
