Russia attacked Kyiv and Odesa / Ukraine launched hundreds of drones at Russian regions

Russia attacked Kyiv and Odesa with drones and missiles, causing casualties and significant damage, while Ukraine responded with a wave of drones targeting several Russian regions. In Kyiv, authorities reported 16 people injured, including two children. The attacks damaged utility infrastructure and caused water supply disruptions in some neighborhoods.

The bombardments also destroyed warehouses, including one belonging to the Humanitarian Aid Fund for Children, led by First Lady Olena Zelenska. Huge craters were reported in the Ukrainian capital following the explosions.

In Odesa, a Russian drone struck a 19-story apartment building, injuring at least seven people, including minors. Moscow said it had targeted steelmaking, energy, naval and military facilities.

In response, Ukraine launched hundreds of drones. A military airport in Rostov-on-Don was hit, while a refinery in the Yaroslavl region was engulfed in flames. The exchange of attacks comes days after Donald Trump announced that Moscow and Kyiv had reportedly agreed not to strike energy infrastructure.
