Russia launched 310 drones at Ukraine overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, November 3–4, in an attack targeting several regions and the country’s energy infrastructure. Ukraine’s air defense shot down or neutralized 272 aircraft, but 19 targets were hit, while debris from intercepted drones fell at another 15 locations.
The attack began on November 3 at 6:00 p.m. and involved Shahed drones, including 81 powered by jet engines, as well as Gerbera and Parodiya aircraft. Ukraine’s air force, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems and mobile defense groups took part in the defensive operations.
In Dnipro, two people were injured after an industrial facility was hit. The two men, aged 38 and 57, were taken to hospital in moderately serious condition. A fire broke out at the scene.
Attacks were also reported in Zhytomyr, Odesa, Kovel, Ternopil and Rivne. Energy infrastructure was damaged, while fires and power outages were reported. In Odesa, a fire that broke out as a result of the attack was extinguished, and the blast wave shattered the windows of nearby buildings.
The new wave of attacks comes ahead of negotiations scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi on November 10–11, with Ukraine, Russia and the United States expected to participate. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for an end to attacks on energy infrastructure and for Western deliveries of air defense systems to be expedited.
