Russia announced on Friday that it had intercepted and destroyed 777 Ukrainian drones in a series of attacks carried out overnight across approximately 15 regions and in Crimea. According to Russian authorities, the attacks resulted in two people being killed and several others injured.
The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that air defense systems had neutralized the drones, but the information could not be independently verified. Fires and explosions were reported in the Saratov region at the local refinery and at a logistics center belonging to online retailer Ozon, where images of a large-scale fire were published.
In the Tula region, Governor Dmitri Miliayev announced two deaths and three injuries. In Volgograd, two people were hospitalized after an apartment building was reportedly hit by a Ukrainian missile. Damage was also reported at industrial and residential facilities.
