The project to strengthen the south-eastern border of Estonia, which includes the digging of 40 kilometers of anti-tank ditches, has already begun and will be completed by 2027. These installations are meant to delay the advance of enemy forces in the event of a Russian incursion. Estonia will also build two fortified bases, and the defense area will be 100 kilometers long.
