The U.S. Congress approved on Tuesday a bill that requires the Department of Justice to publish all documents and records related to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender who died in prison in 2019. The law was adopted with 427 votes in favor and one against in the House of Representatives, and was then unanimously approved by the Senate.
According to the legislation, the documents must be published within 30 days. Although Donald Trump initially opposed this bill, he changed his position and stated that he supports the law, claiming that he has nothing to hide. Trump mentioned that he fired Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club due to his unacceptable behavior. However, he did not explain why he did not order the publication of the documents without the need for a Congressional vote.
