Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that the draft law regarding judges' pensions is finalized and is in the approval circuit. Compared to the initial proposal, the transition period for raising the retirement age to 65 has been extended from 10 to 15 years, as a result of requests from judges. The project will be communicated to the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) for approval, and Bolojan emphasized that an opinion will be requested within a reasonable timeframe, shorter than 30 days, to meet the deadline from the PNRR, November 28. Additionally, the capping of pensions at 70% of the last net salary remains unchanged. The Prime Minister mentioned that if the opinion is not received on time, he will have to wait for the deadline set by the CSM, which could lead to financial losses for Romania.
