This proposal will be included in a "defense preparedness roadmap" that is set to be presented on Thursday. The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, put forward the idea of an anti-drone wall after approximately 20 Russian drones penetrated Polish airspace. The initiative aims to build a network of sensors, electronic jamming systems, and weapons to protect from the Baltic states to the Black Sea. Although Eastern European countries support the proposal, countries in southern and western Europe believe it does not address drone threats in their regions. The European Commissioner for Defense, Andrius Kubilius, mentioned that a change is being prepared, emphasizing the importance of an anti-drone network for all of Europe.
