The general mayor of Bucharest, Ciprian Ciucu, together with the Minister of Development, Cseke Attila, signed a funding contract for the strengthening and modernization of the Dacia-Romania Palace, a historic monument of national value. The building, constructed at the end of the 19th century and part of the Lipscani architectural ensemble, suffered damage due to the earthquakes of the last century. The project aims to provide seismic reinforcement and modernization of the building, which will permanently host works of art from the Bucharest Art Gallery collection, thus becoming a point of interest for art lovers. The total value of the works amounts to 104.5 million lei (excluding VAT), and the works will begin in a few weeks, after the completion of the procurement procedures.
