Ioana Dogioiu, the spokesperson for the Government, announced the approval of an emergency ordinance for prioritizing public interest construction projects. The measures aim to maintain the budget deficit and the efficiency of public fund usage, concentrating resources on projects with a high execution rate. Redundant projects will be repealed, and the deadline for funding contracts is December 31, 2026. Investments in stadiums will require local co-financing and will be funded from the public budget only starting in 2027.
