The interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that the Parliament has approved an important package of laws necessary for meeting the milestones assumed by Romania through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The adopted laws aim at the digitalization and efficiency of research activities, modernization of water legislation, measures for better management of state agricultural land, and acceleration of public investments, especially in construction.
Each ministry has prepared draft laws in the fields of education, environment, and agriculture, discussed with representatives of the European Commission, who confirmed the compliance with the commitments assumed by Romania. Bolojan emphasized that the adoption of these laws will prevent financial penalties of over 2.7 billion euros and will ensure access to essential European funds. The new measures will reduce administrative bottlenecks and allow for a faster implementation of investment projects. The Prime Minister thanked the parliamentarians for their support and reaffirmed the priority of completing the necessary investments for Romania.
