Vladimir Putin has requested urgent measures to protect Russia's critical infrastructure during a Security Council meeting, following a series of Ukrainian attacks targeting military and industrial sites. The Russian president asked Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak and other ministers to report on the proposed measures.

Recent attacks, including the use of British Storm Shadow missiles by Ukraine, targeted a semiconductor factory in Bryansk, resulting in the deaths of six people. Additionally, Ukrainian drones attacked a chemical plant, affecting Russia's fertilizer production.

In the context of these attacks, Russia has intensified security measures, including restricting access to mobile internet in major cities. The Kremlin has acknowledged that such incidents have become common, but have not been experienced on such a scale since the beginning of the war.
