Jason Orvis, a 56-year-old entrepreneur from Utah, has created an autonomous farm on the hills near the Bountiful community, capable of hosting approximately 200 people. Although he does not expect the end of the world, Jason Orvis wants to be prepared for various catastrophic scenarios, which inspired him to become a writer and producer.

His series 'Homestead', produced by Angel Studios, explores life on a private property after a nuclear detonation. His farm includes an arsenal, a mechanic's workshop, greenhouses, a butcher shop, and a storage filled with supplies. Orvis grows organic fruits and vegetables and does not believe in the idea of a bunker, considering that survival depends on community, not weapons. He estimates that his group could survive 'indefinitely' with the available resources, but acknowledges that the chances of an apocalypse are very low.
