Alex Karp, the CEO of Palantir, will become the first major investor in a new defense technology company launched by Mihailo Fedorov, the former Ukrainian Minister of Defense, who was dismissed in July.

Fedorov announced on Twitter that the new company aims to strengthen Ukraine and develop defense technologies for a safer global future.

His dismissal generated protests, but Fedorov continued to express his intention to launch initiatives in the defense sector, including an investment fund and a think tank.

Karp emphasized his long-standing collaboration with Fedorov and mentioned that Palantir has supported Ukraine by providing software for its war efforts.

The two recently met at Palantir's headquarters in Washington, D.C., to discuss the future of the company.
