Former Ukrainian Defense Minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, stated to Reuters that his country is gradually losing the war against Russia and urgently needs a strategic plan to change the course of the conflict. Fedorov emphasized that Ukraine is facing deep corruption and a lack of innovation, which hinders progress.
Although Russia continues to bomb Ukraine, Fedorov mentioned that the country still has chances of winning, but it needs to develop advanced military technologies, such as autonomous drones and interceptor missiles. He criticized the low efficiency of the Ukrainian state and called for the organization of elections during wartime, a proposal that has sparked controversy.
In the context of a significant budget deficit, Fedorov highlighted the importance of a coordinated strategy to maximize the use of available resources. Although President Zelensky rejected his call for elections, Fedorov aims to contribute to restoring the electoral process and to innovative technological initiatives.
