New regulations in Finland ban children under 15 from using electric scooters as part of micromobility legislation. Rental companies must obtain municipal licenses, and the use of scooters under the influence of alcohol or drugs is banned. The transport minister emphasized the need for these measures to reduce accidents, given that 1,600 people are seriously injured every year, including 600 children.
