The National Meteorological Administration issued a yellow weather warning valid on July 21, between 14:00 and 22:00, for the counties of Prahova, Buzău, Vrancea, as well as the mountainous area of the counties of Vâlcea, Argeș, and Dâmbovița. Atmospheric instability is expected, with torrential downpours, electrical discharges, and wind intensifications, with gusts of 50-70 km/h. Rainfall amounts may reach 20-30 l/m², and locally may exceed 40 l/m².
A second yellow warning will be active between July 21, 22:00 and July 22, 09:00, extending to the south and east of the country.
Additionally, starting from 1:00 AM on July 22, an orange warning will come into effect for Argeș, Dâmbovița, Prahova, and the mountainous area of Buzău County, with significant torrential downpours.

From July 22, at 12:00 PM, the Orange Code for significant torrential downpours will shift towards the counties of Constanța, Tulcea, Galați, Brăila, and the eastern parts of Ialomița and Călărași counties.

Furthermore, between July 22, 09:00 – July 23, 03:00, a yellow warning for atmospheric instability, significant torrential downpours, wind intensifications, and storms will be in effect in Muntenia, Dobrogea, eastern Oltenia, the southern half of Moldova, southwestern Transylvania, and locally in the Eastern and Southern Carpathians.
In Bucharest, the weather will be unstable, with showers and decreasing temperatures, and the capital will remain under a yellow code for atmospheric instability.
