The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has announced two yellow code warnings for atmospheric instability, valid on July 23 and 24.
The first warning is active on Thursday, between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM, and concerns the counties of Timiș, Arad, Bihor, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Maramureș, Dâmbovița, and Prahova. In these areas, wind intensifications are expected with gusts of 50–70 km/h, torrential downpours of 15–25 l/m², electrical discharges, and small hail.
The counties of Dâmbovița and Prahova will experience significant downpours, with water amounts of 20–40 l/m². The second warning comes into effect on Friday, between 12:00 PM and 9:00 PM, covering most of Muntenia, the mountainous area, the southwest of Moldova, and Transylvania. Here, torrential downpours, electrical discharges, and wind intensifications with similar gusts are forecasted. Water amounts may exceed 40–50 l/m² in restricted areas.
