USR and PNL are calling on the leadership of the Chamber of Deputies to establish a parliamentary inquiry committee to investigate private trips to Mykonos and Nice, as well as the flights associated with the Nordis scandal. The initiators want to clarify who organized the trips, who financed them, and what connections existed between the participants.

The committee, proposed under the name “Mykonos-Nordis,” would analyze the criteria for selecting participants and the costs of transportation, accommodation, meals, transfers, and other activities. Among the people mentioned in connection with these trips are politicians, CCR judge Cristian Deliorga, the president of the Constanța Tribunal, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, and a businessman convicted of forming an organized criminal group.

USR maintains that potential conflicts of interest, how the benefits were declared, and possible legislative gaps concerning the financing of trips must be investigated. The committee could propose legislative amendments if it identifies problems.

USR deputy Emanuel Ungureanu announced that he had filed a complaint with the DNA and a notification with the ANI regarding the trip to Mykonos. USR accuses PSD and AUR of opposing the initiative, allegations politically rejected by the formations concerned. The situation is under the attention of Parliament, and the request is to be examined by the leadership of the Chamber of Deputies.
