The primary offer for the sale of Fidelis government bonds took place between October 10 and 17, through the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The Ministry of Finance managed to attract 946.8 million lei and 246.1 million euros through seven issues of government bonds for the public, as part of the ninth public offer of this year. The issued government bonds will start trading on October 23, and the next offer is planned for the first decade of November.

Since the start of the offer in August 2020, the Ministry has attracted 59.2 billion lei (11.9 billion euros) from the public, with over 30% of this amount coming from the issues this year. The operation was intermediated by a syndicate of banks, and Romanians placed over 21,000 subscription orders. The income from these bonds is not taxable, and investors can hold the bonds until maturity or trade them on the BVB. Details about prices and symbols can be found on the Bucharest Stock Exchange website.
