On the occasion of Romania's National Day, American President Donald Trump sent a letter to his counterpart, Nicușor Dan, in which he highlighted the solid and continuously developing partnership between the United States and Romania. Trump praised Romania as a "pillar of regional stability" and expressed the desire to expand opportunities for trade, investment, and innovation.

His message emphasized the importance of cooperation in the fields of security and energy, as well as Romania's role as a NATO ally. Additionally, Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu announced a planned visit by President Nicușor Dan to the USA for the first part of 2026, highlighting the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Trump also mentioned his appreciation for the Romanian people, stating that the relationship with Romania is very good.
