The Ministry of Finance conducted in October the most recent edition of the Fidelis government bonds, attracting investments of 2.2 billion lei from Romanians. According to data provided by BT Capital Partners, subscriptions for the euro tranches totaled 246.1 million euros (1.25 billion lei), while the lei tranches generated subscriptions of 946.8 million lei.
The most popular were the two-year bonds in lei, with an interest rate of 7.2% per year, attracting 606.2 million lei. Other notable bonds include the ten-year bonds in euros (6.5% interest) and the three-year bonds (4.15% interest). There were also significant subscriptions for the five-year bonds in euros and for the lei bonds intended for blood donors.
