Romanians are among the least desired migrants in Great Britain, a survey conducted by YouGov shows. Thus, almost 50% of British respondents would like to see a reduction in the number of immigrants from Romania.

Romanians rank fourth in the list of least desired nationalities, alongside immigrants from Israel. The top spots are held by Russians (58%), Pakistanis (52%), and Nigerians (48%).

When asked "Should we allow a smaller number of people from this country to come?" or "We should not allow any people from this country to come at all," 47% of respondents to the YouGov survey stated that they would like to see fewer immigrants from Romania.

Thus, 18% of Britons believe that no immigrants from Romania should be accepted, placing Romanians in fifth place, tied with Egyptians, while 29% of respondents believe that Romanians should be accepted, but in smaller numbers, and 25% think that the current number can be maintained.

Only 7% of Britons support increasing the number of Romanian immigrants.

In contrast, Irish, Canadian, Australian, Swedish, German, and Japanese immigrants are perceived much more favorably.
