In a wave of protests, hundreds of demonstrators gathered in Victory Square, demanding urgent reforms in the justice system and resignations at the top of institutions, including the Minister of Internal Affairs, Cătălin Predoiu, and Lia Savonea, head of the High Court of Cassation and Justice. The protesters chanted against corruption and called for legislative changes, expressing their dissatisfaction with the way criminal cases are managed.
During the protest, the president of the Bucharest Court of Appeal, Liana Arsenie, stated that she would not resign, despite accusations of abuses from some magistrates. Additionally, President Nicușor Dan announced that he had received requests from magistrates to participate in the consultations he will organize. The protests were accompanied by a counter-protest, which displayed the names of some controversial figures, such as Florian Coldea, former deputy of the SRI.
