BVB ended Wednesday's session down. The value of transactions exceeded 100 million lei

The Bucharest Stock Exchange ended the trading session lower, with the market’s main index, BET, falling 1.71% to 33,751.28 points. BET includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market.

The decline was broad-based. The BET-Plus index fell 1.68%, BET-XT lost 1.63%, while BET-FI depreciated by 1.24%. BET-BK, the benchmark for investment fund returns, dropped 1.47%, while the BET-NG index, which tracks energy and utilities companies, declined 1.52%. The BET AeRO index ended the session down 0.56%.

The largest turnovers on the Regulated Market were generated by shares of Romgaz, with trades worth 12.1 million lei, Banca Transilvania, with 11.96 million lei, and OMV Petrom, with 5.64 million lei.

The top gainers included Uztel shares, up 14.71%, AETA, up 5.6%, and Electromagnetica, up 3.05%. The steepest declines were recorded by Grupul Industrial Electrocontact, down 14.29%, ROCA Industry HoldingRock1, down 6.15%, and Electro-Alfa International, down 4.65%.
