Tourist structure operators on the coast have decided to open the summer season on May 1, but the Federation of Romanian Tourism Employers (FPTR) warns that current legislation hinders the obtaining of necessary permits. FPTR emphasizes that ambiguous and contradictory regulations maintained by authorities prevent economic operators from obtaining classification certificates on time. They assume risks of inspections and fines, considering that recent legislative changes have not addressed the specific needs of tourism, such as the authorization of beach bars.

FPTR calls for a coherent legislative framework adapted to the seasonal realities of the coast, to avoid administrative delays and ensure a favorable climate for tourists. Additionally, a collaboration protocol has been signed for the opening of the summer season 2026, but meetings with local authorities have been canceled, generating suspicions of sabotage. In the context where Bulgaria is attracting an increasing number of Romanian tourists, FPTR emphasizes the importance of a well-organized summer season for Romania's competitiveness as a tourist destination.
