The beginning of July brings significant price increases for tourists choosing the Romanian coast. Hoteliers and restaurant owners have raised accommodation prices by percentages between 10 and 15%, in some cases even reaching 20%. A double room at a two or three-star hotel now costs between 200 and 220 lei per night, compared to 170 lei previously. The occupancy rate of hotels is already 70-80% during the week. Restaurant menus have recorded an average increase of 2-3 lei per product, and beach operators are considering raising the prices of sunbeds. Additionally, starting from July 1, water and sewage bills will increase by almost 30%, and fuel prices have risen, with diesel reaching 9.24 lei per liter. These price increases are driven by the rise in the minimum wage and the expiration of the diesel price cap.
