The commissioners of the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) applied, during the period of July 20-26, nearly 200 fines amounting to over one million lei and 94 warnings, following inspections carried out in the resorts on the Romanian coastline. Inspectors discovered numerous irregularities, including the sale of expired food products, the use of degraded oil, improper storage of food, the sale of dangerous toys, and deficiencies regarding pool maintenance and tourist information. Additionally, the activity of eight economic operators was temporarily suspended until the issues were resolved, and products worth over 21,000 lei were permanently withdrawn from sale.
