Fines of 7 million lei on the coast, after 1,140 inspections. ANPC found expired products, degraded pools, and incorrectly displayed prices.

ANPC carried out, between July 6 and August 16, 2026, 1,140 inspections in the resorts on the Romanian coast, as part of the campaign "A.N.P.C. Summer 2026". Inspectors imposed 1,287 fines, totaling approximately 7 million lei, and issued 940 warnings. Among the irregularities discovered were the sale of expired products or those stored at inappropriate temperatures, lack of information about allergens and prices, discrepancies between the displayed prices and those on receipts, as well as issues with the maintenance of swimming pools and recreational areas. Additionally, non-compliant products worth over 320,000 lei were permanently removed from sale, and for 48 economic operators, temporary suspension of services was ordered until the deficiencies were remedied.
