Russian forces recorded 1,520 casualties in the past day, according to the latest tally published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The data concerns the losses suffered by Russia in the full-scale war launched against Ukraine and have not been independently confirmed.
According to the Ukrainian report, Russia has so far lost 12,344 tanks, 25,330 armored combat vehicles, 148,259 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 49,678 artillery systems. The tally also includes 2,120 multiple rocket launch systems, 1,635 air defense systems, 442 aircraft, and 356 helicopters.
Ukraine claims that Russian forces have also lost 514,317 aerial drones, 5,111 cruise missiles, 35 ships and boats, and two submarines.
Estimates of Ukrainian losses are also high. A report by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) published in January 2026 indicates between 500,000 and 600,000 Ukrainian casualties through December 2025, of whom between 100,000 and 140,000 service members are believed to have been killed in combat. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in February that at least 55,000 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed. The intensity of the fighting and drone attacks makes it difficult to recover and identify bodies.
