ANPC: Fines of over 750,000 lei for irregularities in summer tourism

Inspectors from the Summer Command 2026 conducted checks between July 6 and 12, applying 164 fines totaling over 750,000 lei and issuing 191 warnings.

Non-compliant products worth over 50,000 lei were identified, and three economic operators had their services temporarily or permanently suspended. Among the irregularities found are services provided in unauthorized spaces, lack of information about rates, and inappropriate conditions in rooms designated for tourists, such as mold and unwashed linens.

Additionally, issues were discovered in the maintenance of pools and sunbeds. ANPC inspectors also found expired products or those stored in inappropriate conditions.

Alongside sanctions, ANPC carried out over 50 counseling actions to promote the voluntary compliance of economic operators.
