The mayor of Cluj-Napoca, Emil Boc, announced on Thursday the launch of the tender for the creation of the largest park in the city's history, the East Park in Gheorgheni, which will have a total area of 54 hectares. The first phase of the project, which aims to develop approximately 10 hectares, has already been put out to tender, with an estimated value of 10 million euros. This phase will take place in the area of the Beceaș Valley corridor, between Soporului Street and Someșeni Road, and the deadline for submitting offers is May 18, with an estimated implementation duration of 15 months.
Emil Boc emphasized that the development of East Park will continue in several phases, each being put out to tender separately, until the complete finalization of the project. East Park promises to become an oasis of greenery and biodiversity, thus contributing to the improvement of the quality of life in Cluj-Napoca.
