The contract for the modernization of the electrical network was signed by Mihaela Rodica Suciu, general director of DEER, within the Sustainable Development Program.
The project, with a total value of 237,559,791.96 lei, will directly affect approximately 80,000 users in Cluj-Napoca and Florești, providing a modernized electrical infrastructure. Of the total amount, 101,092,503.20 lei is non-reimbursable funding from the European Regional Development Fund. The project includes the construction of a new 110/20 kV transformer station in Florești, the transition of the medium voltage network to 20 kV, and the implementation of the Smart Measurement System.
These measures will improve distribution capacity, the quality of electricity, and will facilitate the integration of renewable sources. DEER continues thus the transformation of the electrical network into a modern and digitized infrastructure, capable of responding to current energy challenges. The project is part of the specific objective RSO2.3 – 'A greener Europe', having a significant impact on the development of communities in the area.
