Romania’s Electricity Energy Distribution Company is allocating 7.7 million lei to secure data centers

Distribuție Energie Electrică România (DEER), a company belonging to the Electrica Group, intends to purchase a system designed to secure and modernize the network infrastructure at its data centers. The estimated value of the contract is 7.7 million lei, excluding VAT, according to a contract notice published in the Electronic Public Procurement System (SEAP).

The investment targets the technical infrastructure used to operate DEER’s data centers, amid the need to protect the equipment and IT networks that support its electricity distribution activities.

The notice published in SEAP marks the launch of the procurement procedure, while the stated amount represents the estimated contract value before VAT is applied.
