Diana Buzoianu, the Minister of the Environment, stated that the Rabla Program should be funded more from European funds, considering the current budgetary context. She emphasized that the reduction of the voucher value from 7,500 euros to approximately 2,000 euros was a correct decision, given that Romania had one of the largest vouchers in Europe for similar programs.

Buzoianu estimated that the funds allocated to the program will be exhausted this year and mentioned the redirection of 45 million lei from the electric vehicles budget to other categories of vehicles. She also specified that the future of the Rabla Program in 2026 depends on the available budget and the existence of the Social Fund for Climate, which could be affected by the postponement of ETS2. The priority for next year will be the completion of projects from the PNRR.
